Fuel stations keep the country moving, yet most run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, ageing terminals and manual day-end arithmetic. We built Petro to change that.
Our story
From day-end headaches to one clear system
Petro started with a plain observation: the people running fuel stations were spending their evenings with a calculator, reconciling counted cash against shift readings and chasing variances a computer should have caught hours earlier.
The software on offer did not help much. Most of it was a till with reports bolted on, or a generic ERP that had never heard of a dip reading. Either way the forecourt and the finance office ended up keeping two different sets of numbers, and somebody had to reconcile them by hand.
So we built a platform that treats them as one thing. Dip readings, shifts and pumper payroll sit beside the profit and loss account, receivables and bank reconciliation, in a single system updated as the pumps run.
Today Petro helps independent stations, service stations and co-operatives across Sri Lanka run tighter, see clearer and close their books with confidence.
